Merry Christmas to PJR and to all JLB fans. My wish for the New Year is that an even greater audience awaits the talent of Joseph Leo Bwarie!

Hi Lee – I don’t intend to answer for Mary P and her feelings about JLB – but I will add my 2 cents on the dynamite singer/actor JLB who is a force unto himself – when you see him live in JB’s he’s phenomenal, just wish we could see him in person doing his Nothin’ But Love! His voice is nothing but delicious.

yippee i-o-kie-ay! I love the plate name… and you are in the same boat with most of us sprinkled with Joseph Leo Bwarie’s Magic-it’s an irresistible phenomenon-his voice, his personality, his whole persona creates joy and a need for more!
Thank you PopJazzRadio for helping to spread the Bwarie magic and joy with his fantastic music and precious song Umbrella.
Lee,We need to connect outside this process… I have been to Kennebunkport…I have a wonderful pastel of buildings in the town from a local artist- in my lving room. (not the artist, the painting! : )

    Hi Mary P….
Bought myself a little present! I ‘m the mother of three, two of whom are older than JLB, but in a moment of adolescence I ordered new plates for my car! JZYBOYZ ! Makes me smile…makes my kids think I am certifiable!
I live on the coast of Maine in Kennebunkport….RockPort is about11/2 hrs up the coast. I have never been to Iowa, but my daughter in law is from Vestina and they go every summer for a couple of weeks. It looks like a Norman Rockwell painting in their pictures. I also have a pair of sweat pants from the Iowa City FD…… Long story!
So how did you first discover JLB? I know that he has a huge following as Frankie, I would love to see him recognized also for his amazing CD, his talent is undeniable but it is his ability to complete engage the listener that makes him special. I don’t know anything about Popjazz radio, but I ‘m listening and voting….and voting….and voting!

Hello, Lee from Maine. I enjoy our little go-back-and-forths… don’t forget to Vote today for our favorite #1 PopJazzRadio VOICE-Joseph Leo Bwarie’s Voice is The Choice! I have a friend in Rockport, do you live on the coast or in-land? Your life and family sound scrumptious! Joseph Bwarie grew up with music and music-lovers in his home, too… “struck the right chord”, obviously! My mom brought music into my life in our home, too..Old Standards, Jazz, Big Band, Broadway music.. lucky us!
Have a great day, Lee, and all followers of Pop Jazz Radio…PJR is great stuff!!!!

Good to hear from you MaryPat! Grew up in England and listening to the BBC radio, morning, noon and night. Their eclectic mix of every genre of music. My father was a band major in the Royal Marines, my mother played Ray Charles on our first record player. I stood in line at Gatwick airport to welcome the Beatles back from the USA. I played Queen, Pink Floyd , Dusty Springfield, Barbara, the rat pack and Sammie Davis . West end shows and then Broadway….never met a musical I didn’t like. Moved to New and eventually to Maine and so when the show opened I promised myselfa trip back too see “the Boys”. I have now been three times and follow the Tour because there is no other Frankie for me. Finding “Nothin but Love” was a thrill, Joseph Leo Bwarie presents his music with such joy it’s impossible not to go along for the ride. I hope we are around when the powers that be realize what enormous talent is there and provide a way for everyone to share our musical love affair!

To Lee from Maine: you and I must be on exactly the same track… that would the one called Track Joy…every word you said is what I feel regarding NOTHIN’ BUT LOVE and JLB’s magic & charismatic talent in the part of Frankie Valli(singing, dancing & acting). Joe Bwarie is a brilliant young star in a huge galaxy and he shines brighter and brighter each moment because he is pure and real and talented. And Pop Jazz Radio is recognizing him as an asset to their musical offerings for their listeners. Thank you Pop Jazz Radio! and thanks for the terrific and true statement about Joseph Leo Bwarie, Lee! Aren’t we music lovers blessed? Thank you, Joseph Leo Bwarie~

This album is flawless, fantastic and fresh. I am old enough to know most of the standards and young enough to know the others. You have to deeply understand then craft of the standard or it can become trite and cliche and ” Lounge”.
Joseph has the gift to make them clean and capture the individual spirit of each score. He has all of the old school tools; phrasing, timing, subtlety and when it calls for it pure fun energy. The orchestral arrangements frame the whole album but it is JLB ‘ s beautiful voice and his love of the material that made it unforgettable for me,
In the interest of full disclosure he is also my favorite Frankie Valli, performing with a whole different genre but the same attention to detail and a voice that brings people to their feet night after night after night.
I hoped as we speak someone is designing a wonderful Venue in Vegas ….bring back the one man show with the 40 piece band. Now is the time and this is the man…….don’t blow this show producers, it’s your move. You will never
regret it . Your headliner is waiting:)

‘UMBRELLA’ by Joseph is incredible – every track on his Nothin’ But Love CD also holds up to equally – this is a CD you will want multiple copies – one for home, office, car – download to your MP3 – I, personally, have enjoyed this performer so much, I hardly listen to anything else – except maybe Jersey Boys soundtrack or Jersey Boys Christmas CD! These 3 CD’s will round out your ‘Day and Night’!

  29. Debbie   On   1. August 2011 at 2:03 PM

It is easy to compare Joseph Leo Bwarie to Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr or Michael Buble, but in reality there is no comparison. If you immerse yourself in the album you will find your soul and discover that while the songs may be standards, there is no standard for JLB, he can take you anywhere. If you doubt if he is “now” just listen to Umbrella/Fella With An Umbrella(Medley)and see how he makes a modern standard.

  30. MaryPat in Iowa   On   31. July 2011 at 5:41 AM

  35. Stacey   On   28. July 2011 at 11:57 PM

What makes “Umbrella” such a gem is the melding of an old standard, with modern pop. It’s a combo that will bring back memories for some, and create new ones for others. The entire album is full of vocals and arrangements that are beyond fantastic. I can’t wait to hear what’s next in store for this talented guy.

  36. MaryP in an Iowa Cornfield   On   28. July 2011 at 10:48 PM

Joseph Leo Bwarie is a gift with a most awesome voice in a beautiful package – the LIKE button is not appropriate-you need a LOVE button or a PHENOMENAL button. Serious, silly, sexy, seductive, sensuous, and the CD is also that fantastic! Umbrella is a fun, perky, adorable, and very clever piece of music. Joseph Leo Bwarie has a spectacular “Big Band” surrounding his very special voice & style on JAZZ/Standards. I hope everyone of your listeners has the joy of the NOTHIN’BUT LOVE experience. Thanks so much for playing his music for us!

  37. Sharon   On   28. July 2011 at 8:40 PM

I love how Joseph Leo Bwarie sings this song and every other song on this wonderful CD. He is a talent that isn’t just the voice of Frankie Valli in “Jersey Boys” but, has a sound of his own. xo

  38. Emily   On   25. July 2011 at 3:28 PM

I love this song! Joe’s entire album is fantastic, but this song seems to be the one in my head most days. I too wish there was a “Love” button! He’s that good!

  39. Lynne Menefee   On   24. July 2011 at 5:33 AM

arrangements! Love love love this album!

  40. Julie   On   24. July 2011 at 3:46 AM

I love this song – especially the transitions where he goes from one song to the next – “I’ll be all you need and mo-or-ore, because”
